As a business owner or property manager, ensuring your building is running properly is a major aspect of your job. And no matter what kind of business is being run, a good heating system is essential. Choosing the right heating system is an important decision; one that you should be well-informed to make. Read on to learn more about the types of heating systems for commercial buildings.

Forced Air Heating System
Forced air systems utilize furnaces to blow warm air through ducts and into a building. Furnaces can be powered with either gas or electricity, depending on the needs of the space. They are one of the most common commercial heating systems, largely thanks to their affordability and easy installation.

Commercial Boiler
Boilers pump heated water throughout a building and dispense heat into rooms using radiators. Boiler systems are popular in commercial spaces thanks to their long lifespan and few maintenance requirements. They also have no need for an air filter and won't circulate dust or dry air as other systems do.

Radiant Heating
Radiant heat systems are located beneath a building's floor. They take advantage of heat's tendency to rise by pumping heated water through the space to slowly raise the temperature. Not only efficient, these heating systems also preserve the building's indoor air quality.

Heat Pump
Heat pumps extract heat from the air and circulate it throughout the commercial space. They don't require a regular fuel source and are thus both cost and energy efficient. However, in areas that experience extremely cold winter temperatures, electric heaters are recommended in case there is too little heat in the air for the pump to extract.

Destratification Heating
This type of heating system uses a process called thermal destratification to regulate temperature. Destratification fans continuously circulate a building's internal air to prevent stratified layers of heat. This creates a consistent temperature throughout the space and keeps both floor and ceiling-level temperatures at comfortable levels.

Air Rotation System
Air rotation systems work to move large quantities of air around a building to continually regulate its temperature. While the air is circulated, cooler air is drawn up from underneath the heater to create a comfortable space throughout. Air rotation systems are ideal for warehouses or other commercial buildings that need extra protection from the cold, as they can heat the space without using ducts.

I find it interesting when you talked about the air rotation system that would be drawing cooler air from the underneath of the unit. I wonder how hydronic heating works, on the other hand, because they might have different features as well. They might even need certain professionals to handle the hydronic heating system repair because of the various components that they might have.
